Experience report Mario K.
The last poker tournament in Tyrol at the Western Steakhouse Zillertal was a real blast! Picture this: A bunch of enthusiastic poker faces cavorting in a Western saloon so authentic you’d almost expect John Wayne to come around the corner. And then it started – the Tyrol Poker Tournament, where everyone felt like a Wild West hero, even though most of us had probably never sat on a horse before!
The atmosphere was already exuberant at the registration desk at 4.00 pm. Everyone was there, from poker novices who were still practicing how to hold the cards properly to experienced players who were trying not to let on that they were actually professionals. And then, of course, there was the highlight – the €10 stake for the Tyrol poker tournament. A real bargain to immerse yourself in the world of poker and maybe even win the big pot!
The Tyrol poker tournament started at 4.30 pm sharp and you could feel the nervousness in the air – or was it just the onions from the Western barbecue buffet? By the way, the buffet was a hit! Between the poker hands, everyone was happy to take a hand – a perfect excuse if the cards didn’t go the way they had hoped.
The Tyrol poker tournament was great fun! We had people who were so obvious in their bluffing that even the cards should have laughed. And then there were the still waters that ended up making the biggest waves. The great thing was that it wasn’t just about winning – even though everyone was naturally keen to win the pot. It was all about having fun and having a great time with friends and like-minded people.
When the tournament came to an end, not everyone was a winner in the traditional sense, but everyone left the saloon with a smile on their face. The Tyrol Poker Tournament was more than just a game – it was a party with cards! And who knows, maybe the cowboy hat will be compulsory next time. We can hardly wait to be there again!
